Solution 1 – Install and activate .NET Framework

1. First, you have to download and install the latest version of Sage Accounts on your computer.
2. Now check whether you have Microsoft .NET Framework on your computer-

1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run window. 
2. Now type appwiz.cpl and click the OK button. 
3. Click on Turn Windows features on or off. 
4. Click on the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 checkbox.

Solution 2- Restart the Connection Manager

1. Click on Start > Control Panel > Administrative tools > Services.
2. Now, right click on the Connection Manager and select Properties.
3. Click on the Log On tab and click on the Apply button.
4. Then, click on the Start and restart button. 
5. Now, start the connection manager.

Solution 3- Restarting the DHCP Client

1. Click on Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
2. Find the DHCP client, right-click on the Stop option.
3. Right – click the Sage 50 Database Connection Manager and click on the Start button.

4. Find the DHCP client, right click DHCP and click on the Start button.
5. Now, open Sage 50 on your system.

Solution 4 – Making a New User Account with Administrator Privileges

1. Click on Start and then select the Control Panel. Then go to User accounts.
2. Create a new user account having full administrator rights.
3. Now, log out of the current use account, and login to the one you have just created. 
4. Open the Connection Manager.

Pro tip- If the above solutions are not working for you ,try pulling out the Ethernet cable from your workstation and then launch the connection manager by going to Start > Control Panel > Administrative tools > Services. You can plug in the cable back to the workstation after the connection manager has started.
