Here are some steps –

Restart Actian/Pervasive

On the server only, you will be able to start this process. You need to shut down your sage 50 or any other S5/S6 programs that use the same files on your workstation. Then restart all services on the server.

Sage 50 and Systems Should be Restarted

If the error persists, then you should restart that particular station to see if it resolves the issue. If it doesn’t then the reason behind it may be because of a file getting damaged. You can look for it in the error message if it refers to a particular method.

Damaged Files Should be Restarted

In case of repairing of damaged files, keep in mind the following things –

  • The error can be with your data path. In that case, you can rename the file and on that server, you will need to run Repair on Sage 50 at the server.
  • If the error indicates that the file is in use by your system, determine what purpose it was originally designed for. If you can’t find it, try deleting it.
  • If you can’t delete a file, but it still loads in the browser, try re-indexing the file
  • If you are not able to do any of these things like delete/ re-index the file that is referred to by the error message, in that case, create a backup.
